Note: Before you begin, you need an account configured with one of OpenSesame's integrations. You also need licenses for the courses you want to send.
If you don't have an OpenSesame integration, use How to download course packages from a List instead.
If your account is configured with an OpenSesame integration, you can send courses directly to your learning platform. To send many courses at once, use a List. (For more about Lists, see How to use OpenSesame Lists.)
In this guide:
1. Select a List
Log in to your OpenSesame account and select My Lists.
Note: In some legacy integrations, My Lists appears in the account menu.
Open a List by selecting its title.
If you don't have any Lists, you can browse premade Lists from OpenSesame curators. Go to the OpenSesame catalog and set the Product Type filter to Lists.
2. Select courses
In your List, select courses to send. You can select everything, specific Groups, or individual courses. Only courses with an active license will successfully send.
When at least one course is selected, a Deliver Courses button appears. Select it.
If you don't have a license for a course, a notification appears and the course is removed from the delivery queue.
3. Select the integration
Select the Send to Integration delivery option.
If a different option appears, expand the menu and choose Send to Integration from there.
Next, select your learning platform. If you configured an integration yet it does not appear, check that you are logged in to the configured account.
Select Deliver Courses.
If you have multiple license types for any of the courses, choose which type to use and select Next.
For most integrations, a confirmation appears. The sent courses will then appear in your learning platform after its next sync with OpenSesame. Some platforms can take up to 24 hours.
After courses appear, each platform has its own steps to make courses available to learners. Some steps may be automatic. For more information, see your platform's documentation.
To review the selected courses again (or remove any), visit the My Courses dashboard.
4. Legacy integrations only: Send pending courses
For legacy integrations, a reminder appears instead of a confirmation.
Select the Review and Send button to visit the legacy Courses dashboard. (You can also open the account menu and select Courses.)
On the legacy Courses dashboard, select the Pending tab.
Queued courses have a Pending status until they are sent to your learning platform. After they are sent, they move to the History tab. To remove a course instead of sending it, use its delete tool.
Note: If you use a legacy SAP SuccessFactors integration, courses remain Pending after they're sent to the SuccessFactors OCN. The delete tool only successfully removes courses that haven’t been sent. After sending, courses appear in the OCN after the OCN APM runs.
Select Send to LMS.
A progress bar appears. For large requests, it may take time to package and send all the content, and it’s important to let the process finish.
When the process finishes, the OpenSesame window may close automatically, depending on your learning platform. If it does not close, it moves to the History tab.
After import, each platform has its own steps to make courses available to learners. Some steps may be automatic. For more information, see your platform's documentation.
