Administrators
Each CourseCloud account supports one type of administrator:
- Platform Administrator
- Learning Administrator
The Platform Administrator role is available only to accounts with both an OpenSesame Plus subscription and an OpenSesame Customer Success Manager (CSM). If you don’t have a CSM and want to upgrade to a managed account, contact OpenSesame Support at support@opensesame.com.
Learning Administrators cannot upload content. In all other areas, their permissions are the same as Platform Administrators. See the Role permissions table for details.
Managers
Managers can view reports about users in the department they manage. They cannot create users or edit user information.
- Each Manager can manage one department.
- They do not need to belong to the department they manage.
- If the managed department has child departments, those are included.
Managers can’t search other departments. They can view all reports except Learning Path Courses.
Learners
Learners can log in to CourseCloud, browse available courses, and take courses.
To change a user’s role, see Update a user’s role in CourseCloud.
