To change your organization’s hierarchy in CourseCloud, return to the Manage Departments area (Admin Tools > Company tab > Manage Departments), select a department to move, such as the example below, and click the Edit department button:
On the editing page, expand the hierarchy, which will be collapsed by default:
Select whichever department you want to move it below, then click Save changes. If the department you’re moving already has users assigned to it, they will move along with it:
Note: You can also update the department’s long or short name on this page.
A confirmation prompt will appear. If the description of the change looks good, click Continue:
A green success message will appear. Expand the hierarchy to view the department’s updated position:
If this example department had contained sub-departments of its own, all of them would have followed it to the new location.
