How to allow cross-site tracking on Apple devices

Apple’s Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP) blocks cross-site tracking and adds extra cookie restrictions.

• On Apple desktop devices, ITP affects only Safari.
• On Apple mobile devices, ITP affects all browser apps.

While content hosted by OpenSesame is safe, be aware that these settings affect your browser privacy for all websites. You can always change these settings back after you complete your course.

To allow cross-site tracking:

Apple desktop devices

1. In Safari, open Safari > Settings > Privacy.
2. Turn off “Prevent Cross-Site Tracking” and "Block all cookies.”

Apple mobile devices

1. Open the iOS or iPadOS Settings menu.
2. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and enable “Allow Apps to Request to Track.”
3. In Settings > Chrome, enable "Allow Cross-Website Tracking.”
4. In Settings > Safari, turn off "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking.”
5. In Settings > Safari > Advanced, turn off "Block All Cookies.”
