How do I change a course language or find another language version?

If your course is in the wrong language, or you need the course in English, Spanish, French, or another language, the available options depend on the course publisher.

A course may:

• Let you select a language inside the course.
• Have a separate course version for each language.
• Be available in only one language.

How do I change the language inside my course?

Many of our courses offer language selections within the course. 

Some courses let you select a language when the course opens or from the course menu.

1. Close and relaunch the course.
2. Before the course begins, look for a language selection screen.
3. If the course starts without asking for a language, open the course menu or settings.
4. Look for the menu or settings icon in the lower-left or lower-right corner of the course.
5. Select your preferred language if a language option is available.

If you do not see a language option, the language you need may be offered as a separate course.

The below list of courses have in course selections for languages.

• Harassment Prevention for Employees (California) - controls to change language in upper right of course
• Food Allergy Awareness - controls to change language are in bottom right hand area, must scroll down to click the change language preference button
• Food Safety and Hygiene (Level 1) (UK) - controls to change language are in bottom right hand area, must scroll down to click the change language preference button
• Hazard Communication - controls to change language are in bottom right hand area
• Anti-Harassment Training for All Employees (Non-State Specific) - controls to change language are in bottom right hand area
• Emergency and Fire Preparedness - click bottom left hand horizontal lines and select Language

• Machine Guarding -  click bottom left hand horizontal lines and select Language

How do I find a separate English, Spanish, or other language version?

Some publishers provide each language as a separate course instead of including a language selector inside the course.

A separate version may be needed if:

• The course title is written in a language you do not need.
• The course opens in Spanish, but you need English.
• The course opens in English, but you need Spanish or another language.
• You cannot find a language option in the course menu or settings.
• You need the quiz, text, or audio in another language.

The following courses are examples where other language options are available as separate courses:

Ask your learning administrator to check whether a separate version of the course is available and assign the correct version to you.

Is my course available in another language?

Another language is available only if the course publisher provides:

• A language selection inside the course; or
• A separately published version of the course in that language.

If you cannot find a language selector, contact your learning administrator. Your learning administrator can check the course catalog for another language version or a comparable course offered in the language you need.

What if the course is only available in one language?

Some courses are only offered in one language.

If the language you need is not available, contact your learning administrator. Your learning administrator may be able to assign a different course covering the same topic in your preferred language.

These courses below titled courses are only available in Spanish.  If you need it in another language, please reach out to your learning admin or supervisor to assign the right course as OpenSesame does not assign them.
