Adding translations to your Simon Course

Steps to add translations: 

Simon makes it easy to add, remove, and update your course languages. To start, log in to your Simon account and open the course action menu by clicking on the three dots:

Hover over Language and select Add translations:

Type to search or scroll to find a language to add to your course:

To enable the use of translated resources or to change the default generated audio setting, you can optionally open the Advanced Options menu. For more on adding translated downloadable resources to a Simon Course, please see this article.

Once done selecting your language(s), click the Add button:

You will see the following message:

Note: The course text translations will be updated within seconds. Subtitles and translated audio requires about 1.2 -1.5 times the duration of the course. For example, a 10 minute video may take 15 minutes to finish processing. Translations will carry on in the background, so feel free to check back later.

Adding more translations to your Simon Course

To add more translations to your course, hover over Language and select Update translations:

Once satisfied with your language selection, click the Add button:

You will see this message while the translations process:

Removing translations from your Simon Course

To remove languages from your course, open the action menu and select Remove translations:

If you want to remove all translations from the course, click the top checkbox:

If you want to remove some but not all languages, click the checkbox next the language(s) you wish to remove. Once happy with your selection, click Remove:

Note: Removing a translation from a course will immediately affect published courses.
