CourseCloud’s reports offer insights in multiple areas. Each report can be filtered and downloaded.
This guide covers the following reports:
To view them, log in to CourseCloud and select Admin Tools, then Reports:
To download a report, open its Download as menu, select a file type, then click Download.
Activity
The Activity Report gives a detailed overview of all learning activities, organized by learner.
Available data
The table of results includes the following information for each learner. Scroll across to find the following columns:
- Publisher name
- Course name
- Course ID (GUID)
- First name
- Last name
- Department
- Email address
- Status: Not started, In progress, or Completed.
- Date started
- Date completed
- Date assigned: If they self-enrolled, this is blank.
- Certificate: A link to a PDF file of their course completion certificate, if their status is Completed.
Filter results
To filter by Department or learner, open the Organization or the User search fields menu:
- If you select a Department, the table automatically updates.
- If you add a search filter, such as showing suspended learners, click Filter results to apply it:
By default, Activity Report results are alphabetical by last name.
- To reverse the sort order, click the active column’s name.
- To sort by a different column, click the new column’s name.
Completions by Course
The Completions by Course Report shows current learner totals for each course status:
- Not started
- In progress
- Completed
The initial table of results includes the following:
- Course name: A course with enrollments.
- Course summary: Tallies of each learner status.
You can filter this table by Department or title keyword.
By default, charts use numbers of learners. For percentages, click the Percentage of users button:
For a detailed report, click the course's Course summary button. For a timeline, click its Completion by month button.
Available data
On a course’s detailed report, the table of results includes the following for each learner:
- Publisher name
- Course name
- Course ID (GUID)
- First name
- Last name
- Department
- Email address
- Status: Not started, In progress, or Completed.
- Date started
- Date completed
- Date assigned: If they self-enrolled, this is blank.
- Certificate: A link to a PDF file of their course completion certificate, if their status is Completed.
Filter results
The detailed report’s filters are similar to those in the Activity Report. To filter by Department or learner, open the Organization or User search fields menu.
By default, the results are alphabetical by last name.
Users
The Users Report details all active or suspended CourseCloud learners within your organization. It helps track login activity and manage learner accounts.
Available data
The table of results includes the following for each learner:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Status: Not started, In progress, or Completed.
- User created: When their CourseCloud account was created.
- First access: When they first logged in.
- Last access: Their most recent login.
- Total number of logins
- Department
- Role
- City, if added.
- Country, if added.
For an overview of a learner’s course enrollments, click their first or last name.
Filter results
The Users Report’s filters are similar to those in the Activity Report, with the addition of a Never logged in toggle:
To filter by Department or learner, open the Organization or User search fields menu.
By default, the results are chronological by the User created date.
Learning Paths
The Learning Paths Report shows the number of learners for each path status:
- Not started
- In progress
- Completed
The initial table of results includes the following:
- Learning Path name: A Learning Path learners are enrolled in.
- Description, if available.
- Learning Path summary: Tallies of each learner status.
You can filter this table by Department or Learning Path name. By default, it does not include suspended learners or inactive Learning Paths.
For a detailed report, click the path's Learning Path summary button. For a timeline, click its Completion by month button.
Available data
On a Learning Path's detailed report, the table of results includes the following for each learner:
- First name
- Last name
- Department
- Email address

Status
- Not Started: No path courses launched.
- In Progress: At least one course launched, none completed.
- X% Complete: At least one course completed. (Calculated on the total number of courses.)
- Completed: All courses finished.
- Path completion date
- Course list: Click to view the courses in the path and the learner’s status for each.
Filter results
The detailed report’s filters are similar to those in the Activity Report. To filter by Department or learner, open the Organization or User search fields menu.
Learning Path Courses
The Learning Path Courses Report lists the courses used in your paths and their totals. If you replace a course, here you can identify all the Learning Paths in which it appears.
Available data
The table of results includes the following for each Learning Path:
- Name
- Duration
- Status: Active or Inactive.

Courses structure: The path’s courses, in order of appearance.
- Course title: Including Group names, when available.
- Publisher
- Status: Active or Inactive.
- Duration
For learner activity, use the Learning Paths report.
Filter results
You can filter this table by Learning Path or Course name. By default, it does not include inactive Learning Paths.
