How do I access my purchased course?

Note: This guide covers individually purchased courses. To access courses in an OpenSesame Plus subscription, please see this article.

If you purchased a course on OpenSesame for yourself, you can start viewing it immediately.

First, if you are not already logged in to your OpenSesame account, do so now. From the homepage at www.opensesame.com, click on My Account:

Next, enter your account credentials and click Log in:

Once logged in, you will see your account name at top right. Hover over it to see the account menu, then select Dashboard:

On the dashboard, check that the Delivery Preference is set to “On OpenSesame”. (This allows you to take a course on www.opensesame.com, as opposed to taking it through a separate learning platform.) If it is set to something else, simply click on the current setting to update it. 

Next, if the Purchased Courses tab isn't already selected, click it. Finally, click the course's Begin Course button to launch the course:

If you need to take a break, use the course-provided Exit button so the system will remember your progress when you resume later. (Not all courses include an Exit button; in that case, closing the course should trigger a save.)

When you complete a course, a completion certificate will be sent from info@opensesame.com to the email address on file for your account. If you do not see it appear in your inbox within 10 minutes, please check your spam folder.
