Introducing Curated Lists
Curated Lists provide OpenSesame customers with expert course curation at their fingertips. Our expert OpenSesame curators create pre-selected, topical lists to make it even easier for our customers to quickly find the right set of courses for their learners.
A selection of curated lists is currently available from the Curated List page, highlighted on our main Courses screen.
The Curated Lists page highlights popular learning paths, trending topics, and frequently requested competencies. OpenSesame-Plus-only lists are designated with an OpenSesame Plus badge. Additional curated lists may be provided directly to you by your Salesperson or Customer Success Manager.
Curated lists are maintained over time. OpenSesame curators will add new courses and remove courses from these lists as the catalog offerings grow and evolve. To stay up to date with list changes, follow your favorite curated lists using the follow button.
Choosing to “follow” a list will add this list to your My Lists page. The List will appear in the All Lists tab, and in a filtered view displaying only curated lists.
Users do not need to be logged in to OpenSesame to view curated lists. Log-in is required if the user would like to take any action on the list (i.e., viewing course demos, sending courses to their LMS, etc.).
Customers who would like to make modifications to a public, curated list must first duplicate the list to create their own personal copy. Select Duplicate from the List settings menu (the gear icon) to create a copy of the curated list.
Duplicating the list provides customers with a recommended starting point for any given topic that can then be modified for their company’s individual needs. Note, when you duplicate a public list, your copy is no longer linked to the curated version of the list. It will not be updated when OpenSesame curators make changes.
Tooltips on Insights New tooltips have been added to the My Insights dashboard to help customers quickly understand their usage.
Smart List Access Some customers were unable to create new Smart Lists or access the “Add Courses” feature within existing lists. This problem has been resolved.
