Note: If you access OpenSesame through a legacy integration, which sends courses directly to a learning platform, course packages cannot be downloaded from the dashboard.
OpenSesame can provide course packages for use in any standards-compliant learning platform, such as a Learning Management System (LMS). The supported elearning file standards for this delivery method are AICC or SCORM 1.2.
You must have an active license to a course in order to download it or take other delivery actions.
If you prefer videos, here is a walkthrough on downloading a course package from the dashboard:
While logged in to OpenSesame, select Dashboard from the menu:
Confirm that your delivery preference is set to "LMS." If it isn't, click on the current preference to update it:
When the delivery preference is set to LMS, courses in the dashboard will have a download button. It will say either SCORM Package or AICC Package:
Note: If your learning platform uses the other file format than the one displayed, you can switch the package type in your Account Settings.
Click the button to download a course package. It will be a zip file, which must remain zipped to work—simply upload it as-is to your learning platform. (Please refer to your platform's documentation if you are unfamiliar with its upload process.)
Finally, if you have an OpenSesame Plus subscription, which includes tens of thousands of courses, individual courses will only appear in the dashboard after learners have launched them. Until then, packages can be downloaded from course pages or from Lists.
