All SCORM courses send a standard completion message to learning management systems to signal that the course has been completed by the user. OpenSesame requires course authors to validate their courses to demonstrate that the course successfully sends the completion message and will register as complete in users' learning management systems. When you go through the validation process, the OpenSesame system records any completion messages while you navigate and complete your course. While validating the course, please fulfill any completion criteria set within the course (for example, some courses require passing a quiz or viewing each slide).
When you are done navigating your course and close the validation window, a system message will indicate whether the OpenSesame system received the completion message.
If you upload a video, you do not need to validate your course. Once the course is submitted for approval, it enters our Moderation Queue. After you validate your course, OpenSesame will review it and publish to the marketplace as soon as possible, usually within 1-2 business days.
